I'm Georgette K., the breeder behind MarvelMAS Miniature American Shepherds located in Gainesville, FL. With lifelong support and dedicated groups for puppy owners to keep in contact, we want you to feel part of the MarvelMAS family.
Q. & A. with Georgette
Why did you start breeding?
We started our breeding program in the United Kingdom. At the time, Miniature American Shepherds were relatively uncommon, and the temperaments produced were often overly sensitive, reducing suitability as sporting or family companions.
So, our aim was to increase genetic diversity there & base our program on sound temperament, structure and health to improve the foundation of the breed in Europe.
What makes your program special?
Our goal is to breed Miniature American Shepherds that be allrounder dogs - who can excel in performance, conformation, when working or as family companions. We extensively health test adults and evaluate puppies for temperament and structure.
We do not have kennels, our Miniature Americans are family members and stay with us for life. They get to train and compete in disciplines they enjoy most.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include black & white, red & white, red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Midas
Midas is a red merle bicolor (no tan points). He has two brown eyes and stands at 16.5” (41.5 cm).
We know these lines well as we own his parents (Grimm and Sovereign), grandparents (Voodoo and Forge), as well as his great grandparents (Marvel and Yondu).
Midas has a loving and goofy temperament. He is calm in all environments and focused on his handler, but also has incredible drive and speed. He enjoys meeting people and dogs and likes running in fastcat. He would make an excellent agility prospect and we plan to continue his training in this venue. He has an excellent off-switch, settling perfectly out and about or at home.
He has a clear genetic panel, other than being a carrier of MDR1 - including CDDY and CDPA, as well as the newly released NAD test and testing for non-HSF4 hereditary cataracts. He has OFA Good hips, normal elbows and patellas, and a clear OFA annual eye score. His parents, grandparents, and great grandparents we own are also fully health tested.
Midas is able to produce both bicolor puppies as well as puppies with tan points depending what female he is paired with.

We had a great experience with Georgette and MarvelMAS. She was very professional and communicated with me frequently about the puppy we were purchasing. We would definitely choose MarvelMAS in the future when looking for a mini Aussie.
