Mary Market's Sundancin' Goldens

Mary C.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Mary C., the breeder behind Mary Market's Sundancin' Goldens located in Ocean City, WA. Our mission is to provide for the market a Golden Retriever dog which is typical, which has a reliable, tractable temperament for training, not requiring veterinary attention due to unsoundness or heritable problems like hip dysplasia, cataracts, or abnormalities making the ownership a hardship.

Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started off as an incidental breeder with no firm plans for the future. I fell in love with the breed and wanted more dogs. I had so much to learn, but helping my girl whelp her first litter got me hooked. And so I began to learn as much as I could and figured that if I were going to bring puppies into this world, I was going to make a difference in the quality of puppy to bring to the market.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on the development of puppies, using Puppy Culture protocol to prepare the puppy for the best life with the right family. We work diligently on making the right match by getting to fully know our pup parents and our puppies - whatever it takes.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
