“VETERINARY CARE INCLUDED: Before going home, each puppy will: Be dewormed on an age-appropriate schedule Receive a full veterinary checkup Receive their first DHPP vaccination I also pay for the puppy’s next veterinary checkup and second DHPP vaccination, provided they are completed at the first appointment scheduled by the puppy’s new family. PUPPY CARE PACKAGE: Each puppy will go home with: A small supply of the wet and dry food they have been eating Treats Chew toys and squeaky toys Pee pads A harness and leash A brush and shampoo A basket for their toys Two blankets carrying the scent of their mother and littermates. My goal is to make the transition into their new home as comfortable as possible. HEALTH TESTING: The mother has completed genetic and health testing, and the stud has undergone comparable testing. These tests screen for known genetic disorders and health risks included in their respective testing panels. Although no breeder or genetic test can guarantee that a dog will never develop a health condition, this testing helps reduce the risk of passing on known inherited disorders. DEWCLAWS AND TAILS: I do not remove dewclaws or dock tails. I do not believe either procedure is necessary for these puppies, and I do not agree with performing them solely for cosmetic reasons. GETTING TO KNOW POTENTIAL FAMILIES: I do not use a formal written application. I prefer to speak directly with potential families so that I can learn about: *Household members and other pets *Work schedules and how long the puppy may be left alone *Experience with puppies and knowledge of the breed *Activity level and lifestyle *Gender, color, and temperament preferences My goal is not simply to sell someone a puppy. I want to make sure each puppy is placed with a family whose lifestyle and expectations are a good match. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT: A $500 deposit is required once a family is ready to commit to a specific puppy. The remaining balance is due when the puppy is picked up. VISITING THE PUPPIES: Families are welcome to visit before placing a deposit and may visit as often as reasonably possible afterward. I send regular pictures and videos throughout the process. I also can do video visits if distance is a barrier. I want this to feel like a personal and transparent experience for people, while also helping families feel confident that they are working with an ethical and qualified breeder. ESTIMATED ADULT SIZE: Adult weight is difficult to predict with certainty. Their mother, Lola, weighed approximately 15 pounds before pregnancy, and their father weighs approximately 6 pounds. Based on their parents and previous litters, I expect most of these puppies to mature somewhere around 10 to 15 pounds, although one or two could remain under 10 pounds. The largest puppy Lola has produced matured to approximately 18 pounds, but that puppy had a different father who weighed about 10 pounds. Adult size is an estimate and cannot be guaranteed because genetics occasionally enjoy ignoring everyone’s carefully prepared calculations 😉 CHOOSING A PUPPY: I ask families about their gender and color preferences, but temperament and lifestyle compatibility are equally important. As the puppies grow and their individual personalities become clearer, I help each family choose a puppy whose energy level and temperament seem appropriate for their household. Deposits are NOT refundable and must be approved through myself before a specific puppy is to be claimed. In the case of a documented emergency, a deposit may be transferred to a future puppy.”
