Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind MB Acres Corgis located in Woodland, WA. We have many years of experience breeding and raising quality, healthy, and happy animals! Our Corgi puppies are raised with our family underfoot. Our goal is to ensure each puppy gets all the love, care, and attention they deserve and to seamlessly transition them into their new forever homes. We would be thrilled to introduce you to your next best friend! We strive for great temperament, intelligence and health on top of flashy markings and beautiful colors. Our dogs have excellent genetics, are all health tested and we only breed the best. We’re very proud of our dogs. Choose the breeder not the puppy is a true saying.. all puppies are cute but a lifelong companion is such an amazing experience! Corgis are amazing dogs and I only hope I can do my best to share them with you.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding to share these wonderful dogs. I learned the hard way not everyone is honest or knowledgeable when it comes to breeding or have the same standards. Adding a new member to your family is a big decision and you should feel comfortable and happy with your decision. I stand behind my dogs and my program.
  • What makes your program special?

My program will always be small for the sake of my dogs. I encourage families to meet my dogs and choose their puppy based on fit but I’m confident in my dogs and am also comfortable placing a puppy after interviewing. There’s no pressure and I hope if I don’t have what you’re looking for I’ve at least offered some insight. We are an active family of 6 and all our dogs have the temperament to be around small children, get along as a pack and love everyone they meet.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, black and tan, white and red, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Coming from someone who was set against getting a pup from a breeder and preferred to adopt as I have in the past: I do not regret my decision one bit. Michelle has her hands full at times, but that doesn't stop her from providing excellent support, puppy updates, and information to interested owners. After meeting her and meeting my new friend in person, I felt very at ease and excited to pick him up! She sends the puppies home at about 2 months for each litter - so I got him when he was still very tiny. Although he missed his brothers and sisters the first few days, he has adjusted very nicely into the household. Thank you Melissa for providing me with my forever furry friend! Worth every penny.
