  • Why did you start breeding?

    We wanted to do our part to preserve the breed and continue our incredible lines. Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the Papillon while placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that we've found in raising these wonderful dogs.

    We take great care with each breeding to ensure we are producing puppies that are excellent representations of the breed. We keep in mind numerous factors as we make our decisions, including health, conformation, size, structure, temperament, and complementary traits. MCK Papillions is committed to only breeding dogs that meet the strict guidelines for quality that we have deemed appropriate to preserving and improving this wonderful breed.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
