Q. & A. with Deborah
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up I raised babies of many species. It started with raising tropical fish. I had swordtails and the swordtails bred and I ended up with many more swordtails and many more fish tanks for the various stages of their growth. In the 1980s I was a breeder of AQHA registered horses. I had 23 mares and a syndicated stallion named Johnny O MacQue. I hand bred the stallion and also did artificial insemination on some older mares and all the foals survived. Now I have raised, trained and shown both the stud dog and bitch who are worthy of being bred together for this litter.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is based on having the finest stud dog with outstanding credentials, versatility and AKC titles, and tremendous health and vitality at 10 years of age. Then selecting a bitch puppy from a top breeder that compliments my stud dogs pedigree, raising her, training her and earning many versatile titles on her. I hope to improve the Tervuren breed through this litter.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
