Jo M.

Breeder of French Bulldogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Jo M., the breeder behind Mecham Family kennels -MechamFrenchies located in Littleton, CO. We have been breeding healthy AKC French Bulldogs for over 25 years. We work hard to produce healthy adults to create healthy babies. Our dogs are DNA genetic health tested for over 228 traits and OFA tested. Our dogs live with us, sleep in our beds, and are more than just a pet, they are family!

Q. & A. with Jo

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband was breeding Frenchies when we met so after we got married, it was the natural thing for me to take over the breeding and it become my business. It has truly been the best job I've ever had. I have come to love the breed and especially love those sweet babies.
  • What makes your program special?

Our focus is on health and not trying to create fad colors for money. We keep our numbers of dogs in our home small so all adults and puppies get the attention they deserve. We have beautiful, wonderful dogs who bring so much joy to the homes they go to. We come from years of experience and understand the breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brindle, cream, fawn, white, white and brindle, white and black, white and fawn, fawn brindle and white, fawn and white, brindle and white, blue, blue fawn, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Jo

Jo has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jo partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"We get to know our families before accepting deposits with a questionnaire process. We also like to do a video call with the person to show them the available puppies, but to also get to know them and let them ask any questions they may have about the breed or our program. We are looking for loving homes, but also homes that have a training plan in mind. This will help ensure success in the home. We want their home to be a forever home for our puppies, so we ensure that families understand the commitment and the breed. "
