I'm Miriam M., the breeder behind Mega Heart Akitas located in Carrollton, TX. We believe in quality over quantity and don't breed litters often. We breed for preservation, health, full titling in conformation, as well as testing for OFA health. We are happy to be able to provide families and individuals with extraordinary puppies.
Q. & A. with Miriam
Why did you start breeding?
I bought my second akita 4 years ago. Like my first dog, he was equally amazing. Over the years, I realized that his temperament and behavior was so exceptional, that I felt I wanted to share this breed with the world. So, two years ago we purchased our 3rd akita with the intention of breeding. Now that we have experienced our first litter, I am proud to share these little bundles of joy.
What makes your program special?
The success of our breeding program starts with the careful selection of the parents. We choose parents whose genes will bring out the best qualities in each other and produce well-balanced puppies. The puppies receive proper health care and socialization from the start.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
