I'm MaryEllen F., the breeder behind Mellies Miniature Poodles located in Rochester, NY. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. Our puppies also receive early neurological stimulation to help prepare them for social life with their new families.

Why did you start breeding?
Many friends and family members have asked us if we would consider breeding our dogs because of how beautiful and well behaved they have been. We decided to take the plunge and we haven’t regretted it.We are amazed at each new litter that we have. We love to watch them grow and we help them on their way to being well socialized puppies for their new families.What makes your program special?
I think our breeding program is special because all of our family helps out and we truly do have them right in our living area in our home. We take special care with the moms and pups.Each pup is held and worked with ENS, and TLC daily basis.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown, cafe au lait, red, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“The price includes vet examination, shots,deworming,and health guarantee. . A 200 dollar deposit is required to hold your choice of puppy. This will be applied to the full price which will be applied to the balance at pickup.”

Litter update on 14 Apr •…Our beautiful babies are progressing very well with learning to be socialized with people and noises of every day life.They love to be cuddled and pet. We enjoy watching them romp and play together.

About Cocoa
Cocoa is NOT 100 percent miniature poodle per DNA testing but 85 percent miniature Poodle. She has a small amount of chocolate Retriever and a small amount of Bichon in her DNA.We purposely bred her with our sire Scout who is 100 percent miniature Poodle. Therefore the puppies in this litter would be 92 percent miniature Poodle. Her DNA is clear for 208 genetic markers that they tested for on BasePaws. That being said, Cocoa is a very sweet lovable small (6 lbs)miniature poodle. She stands 10 inches from floor to shoulder.She has brown coloring in her DNA. She loves to retrieve balls and carry around small toys. She is calm and gentle yet she is spunky when playing with other dogs. This will be Cocoa’s first litter.

Cinder is an amazingly sweet tempered dog. She loves people and children alike. She gets along very well with other dogs. I have had many people ask me if they could take her home!! She has been genetically tested with Base Paws Genetic tests and is clear for 30 different inherited diseases. Cinder stands 12 inches from floor to shoulder and weighs 11.8 lbs.

Scout is a very loving and gentle little man. He loves people and is great with children. He loves to play and take walks. He is calm in nature. Scout is about 9-10lbs and stands at 10 inches from floor to shoulder. He is clear for any genetic diseases as per Wisdom Panel DNA results.

+8Mary Ellen is a wonderful breeder and we cannot be more grateful for our puppy Boston (aka Cream boy)! She was very responsive, answering questions, guiding us through the adoption steps. She sent the pictures of our growing boy on a weekly basis! It was truly precious to see those pictures, how the puppy develops his personality day by day. When we came to pick up Boston, she gave us a complimentary package with the kibble, blanket and a toy, which has become his favorite :) Our puppy is cheerful and full of interest to explore the world. He doesn’t have a crate, but adjusted to a new home and routine pretty well. We were amazed to see that he is already potty trained! This is a big help from Mary Ellen. Boston is such a good boy and he is so much loved!
