Memore Great Danes

Lori M.

Breeder of Great Danes

Meet the breeder

I'm Lori M., the breeder behind Memore Great Danes located in Spring Branch, TX. We have shared Great Danes in our lives since 1999. First and foremost our Danes are our family members. We have been involved with showing our Danes since the beginning and occasionally breed when we want to add another Dane to our family. We do all health testing and only breed what we think is a wonderful example of the Great Dane with a fabulous temperament and bred for longevity. We use Puppy Culture with our puppies and they are raised with kids and other small animals. We remain available to our puppy families for the live time of the puppy and beyond. All puppies are sold on a contract.

Q. & A. with Lori

  • Why did you start breeding?

We were very blessed to have wonderful mentors all around us with our first Great Dane. We were only looking for a companion Dane and were lucky enough to bring home a beautiful fawn female Dane who was a perfect example of the Great Dane. With guidance and our deciding to give showing a try we finished our first Champion and we were hooked. I decided that I would like to breed a litter to add a special baby to our home to be our next show prospect. With tons of research and help from our mentors we produced a lovely litter in which we finished 2 puppies from. I loved the experience of whelping and raising a litter and was so happy getting to share these beautiful babies with others
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are very carefully planned out. I will only breed a litter if I can give 100% to them and also still be able to take care of my family. I take breeding very personally and do tons of research and building of pedigrees before I make my final decision. Temperament and health are top priorities to me since I am sharing these babies with other families. Our litters are raised with Puppy Culture, a busy family surrounding, lots of other animals and with total love and attention to their well being. I do not breed litter after litter as there are enough dogs in the world already and will only do so when the timing is right and I feel that it is a good time for finding only the best homes for the babies. I am still in touch with the puppy families from my first litter back in 2002 and those that came after. I choose to bring these puppies into the world and I am there for their lifetime and beyond. I love to help new dog families and love to mentor those that are looking to have a great companion or to show their dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
