I'm Megan C., the breeder behind Mere Point Poodles located in Belgrade, ME. I'm a small breeder who enjoys exploring the outdoors, training, and sporting with my dogs or relaxing with them. One of the most rewarding parts of my program is matching puppies with families based on their needs, goals and lifestyle. While watching all MPP puppies grow up and develop into partners.

Megan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Megan partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“At Mere Point Poodles, our goal is to place each puppy in the home where they are most likely to thrive. Beginning around 7 weeks of age, puppies are evaluated for temperament, confidence, recovery, structure, and overall suitability for different lifestyles and goals. For families seeking a service dog prospect, additional consideration is given to puppies who demonstrate the qualities typically associated with successful working dogs. While no breeder can guarantee a puppy will ultimately become a service dog, thoughtful evaluations help identify the most promising candidates. Once service dog placements have been considered or Matched. The remaining puppies are matched with approved homes based on deposit order, temperament, lifestyle compatibility, and each family's goals are respected whenever possible. our priority is creating the best long-term match for both puppy and owner. We do not place puppies based solely on color, markings, or gender. Instead, we focus on the individual puppy and the home that will allow them to succeed as a beloved companion, sport partner, or future working dog. While the majority of our puppies are placed in companion, sport, therapy, and service-minded homes, we may occasionally consider select breeding and show homes. These opportunities are offered very sparingly and only to individuals who share our commitment to preserving and improving the Standard Poodle. All breeding prospects are placed under a structured agreement with clear expectations for health testing, genetic screening, temperament, and titles. Before breeding rights are granted, dogs must meet the requirements established by Mere Point Poodles, including earning appropriate titles and obtaining all recommended health clearances necessary to achieve a CHIC number. Our goal is to ensure that every dog carrying the Mere Point Poodles name contributes positively to the future of the breed.”

“2,000 to 2,800 is Pet AKC registration and registration, will be relinquished with proof of spay/neuter. If your inquiring about open registration for Breeding, sporting ect. Price will be up to 4,000. We do require a non refundable deposit as your commitment to purchase. And is transferable from litter to litter. Peace isn't always found somewhere new. Sometimes it's a little slice of oases waiting for you right outside your back door.💙

Megan C.
What started as a waterfront exploration turned into winding woodland trails, steep climbs, unexpected descents, and more than a few moments of wondering if we were still on the right path. We may have gotten a little lost along the way, but around every corner we found something worth discovering—quiet forests, rushing water, happy dogs, and a little more peace than we left with. Sometimes the best adventures aren't the ones you plan. 🐾 Boomer 🐾 Penny 🌲 Tails & Trails

Megan C.
Some adventures aren't about the miles—they're about the moments. Today, Boomer and Minnie joined me for a quiet coastal trail adventure. We covered just under 2 miles, but took our time exploring the woods, practicing our training, and soaking in the views along the rocky shoreline. There were plenty of opportunities for sit, settle, and focus work along the trail, and both dogs did an amazing job. Boomer was calm and confident around the people we met, Minnie was all about the adventure, and together they reminded me why these outings mean so much. One of my favorite moments was simply sitting on the rocks with both dogs beside me, listening to the water and watching the world slow down for a little while. No rush. No pressure. Just good dogs, fresh air, and a beautiful Maine afternoon. I'd rate this outing a 1000 out of 100. 💚🐾🌲🌊

Boomer requested a walk three separate times today, so we headed out for a little adventure. Nose down, tail up, and determined to investigate every scent along the way. Some days are better than others, but a walk with your dog is rarely a wasted day.

Megan C.
One of the most underrated skills a dog can learn is simply how to settle. Tonight, Penny spent part of class watching Minnie and David from across the room while patiently waiting her turn to work. Learning to remain calm, observe, and stay connected to the handler despite distractions is a foundation skill for companion dogs, sport dogs, therapy dogs, and service dog prospects alike. The flashy skills are fun, but the quiet moments of self-control are often where the real progress happens. By the end of class, both girls were exhausted and sound asleep before we made it home.

Stopping with Boomer at Dunkin this morning.

Megan C.
Boomer was feeling fresh this morning, and honestly, so was I. A little fog over the lake again, cool air, and a good walk before the heat settles in. Can't ask for a much better start to the day.

Megan C.
Some days Boomer is a gentleman. Some days he forgets every ounce of training the second we step outside. 😂🐾 This morning was definitely the second option.

Megan C.
Beautiful day. Not too hot, not too cold—just the perfect weather for a walk with my favorite sidekick. 🐩❤️

About Jimmy
Welcoming our new Stud Jimmy Bean who we are extreamly excited about. He is from a long line of working/prospect Service dogs who presents the aptitude to produce them. As well as Showlines, with Jimmy being a Brown Phantom Parti we couldnt be more excited to cross him to our Brody and Cali Daughters. Jimmy's Traits include sable and Phantom production as well as brown. Throwing that back onto ourlines with Brody daughters, we're hoping to get some more browns again with more unique patterns. Jimmy also goes back to Mr. Mustache who he himself produced serveral Service dogs and prospects. Jimmy is 25 inches tall and 60 pounds. I have added photos of his Sire and Dams Penhip for now till we can get Jimmy's health testing completed.

About Penny
Penny is a stunning Black and White daughter of Brody and Cali we have decided to hold her back like her sister Minnie as we just couldn't deny how much she fits our goals. Penny is the sweetest most respectful Poodle I have produced to date. She is also the perfect specimen to produce not only show quality puppies, but puppies that can also do the sporting, agility and service dog route as well. She is 26 inches and 60 pound she is absolutely, fabulous. The way she carries herself her movement. I really couldn't have asked for a better future prospect from my own program. Included in Penny's pictures are her Sire and Dam for reference.

About Kyla deceased
Kyla was my first Breeding Bitch purchase. This girl was just amazing! Each litter she gave me the pups just keep getting better and better. All of Kyla's pups have amazing sweet and loving temperaments just like her's and a few have gone on to be agility dogs. Unfortunately Kyla was diagnosed with cancer and her battle with it was short lived. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy here at MPP as she is the Dam to Holly and Cali and the Granddam to Minnie and Penny.

What we expect Minnie will produce in the future is Service prospects, Sporting/ performance and Agility prospects as well as wonderful famiky pets with Minnie's fun, playful sweet personality I exspect everyone will fall in love with her future puppies. She is 26 and 65 pounds the perfect height, wait and build to produce some fabulous counterbalance prospects for anyone looking for a service prospect with a slighty thicker biuld for a Poodle this lady will produce it in some of her pups.

About Persephone
Persephone is a Holly and Post daughter. I didn't have any intentions of keeping her but I couldnt help myself with her playful and bubbly personality. She is beautiful correct elegant spunky which I like. Unfortunately things have changed here and I am taking a break for a while in the breeding pen. She is looking for a PET HOME ONLY! She is a dominant female even at 10 months and plays aggressively with cats so I would not recommend a home with cats or small breed dogs at this time.

Megan is a dream to work with. She is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable about the breed and each dog in particular. We have had lots of questions arise as we adopted Persephone as a teenager with already established patterns. It is clear that Megan loves each dog for their unique qualities and cares deeply about their well being and the home/family into which they will be adopted.

Well it has been 3 weeks since I made the trip to Belgrade to meet my new pup. He is such a gentleman. He learned his new name quickly and figured out a lot about the house and me. The only thing that we have to work on is the cats. Right now I’m letting the cats figure that out. But we are walking almost daily and going for drives. The house doesn’t feel empty anymore.

I found Mere Point Poodles on the Website Good Dog. Megan was awesome to work with. She made the whole process very easy! It is so obvious that she loves her dogs because Wanda (the puppy) was very well socialized and responsive. My 16 and 1/2 year old poodle recently crossed the rainbow bridge and my dog Ginger was moping around and would hardly eat. But now that she has Wanda to play with. She and I are both happy again. I would recommend Good Dog and Mere Point Poddles to anyone looking for a new poodle puppy! Thank you Megan!

Megan responded quickly to questions. She asked questions, too, then suggested that her puppy, Margret would be a fit for our household. She was right. Margret is our lovely new puppy.

Megan has been great to deal with. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our puppy questions: before, during, and after the adoption process. We are glad to have found her through Good Dog, as we are so thrilled with our new companion.

I have nothing but good things to say about Megan and her dogs! She always responded to my questions and messages within 24 hours and worked extremely hard to make sure my experience was pleasant! Mere Point Poodles had everything I was looking for- excellent reviews & recommendations, local, and ethical. I’m very impressed at the level of tested each prospective dog must go through before being cleared for breeding. Megan is one of maybe four breeders in the New England area that met my standards- ALC registered, OFA testing, Volhard temperament tests for the pups, etc. Megan at Mere Point poodles will help you find your fur-ever friend and place you with the puppy best suited for your needs. Family friendly and absolutely stunning, I couldn’t be happier with my pick!
