I love breeding healthy, steady, and easygoing dogs in the 20–35 lb range who fit naturally into family life and adventures. Why did you start breeding?
As the owner of Luke’s Lodge and Dog Training, I’ve seen firsthand how a dog’s health and temperament shape their life and their family’s. I started Mezzo Poodles to raise dogs with strong foundations, balanced personalities, and the adaptability that makes them a joy to live with every day.What makes your program special?
At Mezzo Poodles, we raise AKC poodles who are OFA and Embark tested, with balanced temperaments and healthy, sound bodies. Puppies are socialized, enriched, and exposed to real-life experiences so they grow confident, friendly, and ready for family life and adventures.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Alora
Alora has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Alora partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Mezzo Poodles reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Moyen Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Alora is absolutely amazing! The entire time kind and forthcoming answering any and all questions I had, she was very communicative throughout the entire process and has continued to be even after being him home. Winnie’s temperament is one of the best and others have commented on it saying the same. The boy is fluffy, playful, quick to learn, and just has the sweetest personality. He has a bit of a spice which just adds more fun to my day. I know much of the credit of Winnie’s temperament, behavior, and overall socialization is due to Alora’s great care and attention to Winnie and each of his siblings. The best part is, I know if I had a question, I can reach out to Alora. I would definitely consider getting another puppy from her in the future.”
