Q. & A. with Denise

  • Why did you start breeding?

After joining HOTC, I started showing in conformation and became more curious about it. I met a person who breeds poodles and she is my mentor. After helping her with a litter and her kennel, she explained all the challenges that come with being a responsible breeder, I found I wanted to become a small breeder.
  • What makes your program special?

I follow the breed standard from AKC, do all health testing. Puppies are raised in the house with cats, dogs, children, and other socialization. They will be started on basic commands and potty training.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
