Meet the breeder

I'm Alton E., the breeder behind Midwest English Cream Goldens located in Morris, MN. We are a small family breeder from Morris, Minnesota dedicated to raising home-grown puppies with individual heart and attention. Every puppy is born in our home and raised with early socialization, health-tested parents, and the warmth of a loving home. By carefully planning only one litter at a time, we ensure each puppy starts life with the trustworthy, professional care they deserve.

Q. & A. with Alton

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got our first English Cream Golden Retriever in 2020. She has been an amazing family dog with a calm temperament, high intelligence, and a friendly personality. After seeing how special she is, we decided in 2025 to responsibly breed her and continue those traits in the next generation.
  • What makes your program special?

We keep our program small so every puppy gets plenty of attention. Puppies are raised in our home, handled daily, and exposed to new people, sounds, surfaces, and experiences. We focus on producing healthy, friendly family companions rather than raising large numbers of litters.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
