I'm Amanda B., the breeder behind Mills River Doodles located in Mills River, NC. We want to do our best to give our dogs a wonderful home and raise healthy, strong, and happy puppies for other families. We health and hip test our parent dogs and consider their temperaments prior to breeding. This helps give us confidence that we are doing our best for future puppies and their families. We use Puppy Culture and raise them in our home and on our property to give them an extra head start to a great life.
Q. & A. with Amanda
Why did you start breeding?
Worked as an apprentice with a local Goldendoodle breeder and as a family we decided to do it in our home too. I have grown up with Shepherds and Poodles. Love the breeds.
What makes your program special?
We want to work closely with our puppy families. I love helping them decide which puppy is best for their lifestyle and what they are looking for. We do many videos to help them decide which puppy they want to provide a home for and continue pictures, videos, and facetime so that our families feel connected to their puppy before they ever bring it home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
