I'm Missica P., the breeder behind Mimi’s Oodles of Doodles located in Barboursville, WV. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence with a focus on service work. Many of our dogs go on for training as service and emotional support animals. To date we have PTSD dogs, autism, diabetes, seizure, and TBI service trained dogs, as well as emotional support and therapy dogs. Our pups make a great addition to any family!
Q. & A. with Missica
Why did you start breeding?
My son needed a service dog, so I adopted two different Goldendoodles in the hopes one would be trainable for service. Turns out they both were! So we kept one and my niece kept the other. After seeing so many in need of service dogs we decided to try to help with one litter, then another, and another. Now we focus not only on service but family pets as well.
What makes your program special?
All of our breeding parents are family pets and all the girls live here. We have one male less than 10 mins away who is our stud, and a seizure dog himself. All pups are born and raised in our home, and our kids are hands-on from the get-go so these puppies are exposed to sounds, play, and other stimuli from the start. We love our pups and truly want the very best for them and their forever families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Goldendoodle puppies are medium size. Labradoodle puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, black, and parti. Labradoodle puppies include caramel cream, caramel, caramel red, gold, apricot, cream, chocolate, cafe, lavendar, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
