Sweet spaniel faces, endless warm embraces! 3 handsome boys left, 11 weeks old. They are able to go to new homes anytime now. Some highlights from the past week: - last photos of the 5 babes together- the groups is getting smaller! (And they all thought they should pose in pink/purple this time - ha! Okay, I am guilty- I thought they should for a changed from the blue/greens 😉) - they are anticipating the routines here (ie eating in the kennels, and getting used to that and just relaxing in the kennels for awhile now around feeds). - We had a 2 more pups go to their new homes this past weekend (NE and AZ) and have been meeting some really neat families along the way! Feeling thankful to share this common interest with others ❤️ Please reach out if you’re interested in visiting about any of the remaining 3 pups! 🐶

Kobe and Nala's litter

Kobe & Nala - Litter 2 Weeks 6-8 We have had a busy and fun few weeks~ Some highlights: 1). Pups keeping cool in the summer heat wave - they love to lay in the shade under the deck, the swingset, the tramp, or the big trees to keep cool when needed. (They have been inside in the air conditioning except for potty training and play times outside- which they absolutely love). 2). Feeds: They naturally weaned from momma a few weeks back, progressed to gruel (pureed dog food), slowly transition to softened puppy food and graduated to dry puppy food. They keep gaining weight and growing steadily. We have introduced the kennel to them, for short time frames a few times a day when they eat (while we clean the box up ect)- they are tolerating it much better now. One of the series of pictures here is pretty cute- they know the “routine” now and were under my husband’s feet awaiting their food. Another day, he ate at the picnic table- at then several joined under him- table training? (Ha- not intentionally, but it was a cute photo for little tykes) 3). We went to the Vet for first shots - some got to ride a wagon and thought that was pretty fun- while others were asking when it was their turn?!? 😂 We also made to the scenic route home for some practice car riding time (they took a good nap and did well and didn’t seem to care much at all). 4). Socialization: They have had a lot of play time with each other, with the big dogs, with us and the kids. They started to notice our cat, Goldie this week too (so far no pup has chased her and she just watches them).

Nala and Kobe’s 2nd litter arrived 6/19-6/20! (7 boys & 1 girl) All liver and white, one obvious tri, a few have the most ever so subtle hints of Carmel coloring in their cheeks under their ears if the sun hits it just right like their momma 😇. These are photo updates from the first month- enjoy! 🐾 ❤️

One handsome dude left - lime green collar! He has many "nicks names" at our house now - Captain Smudge and/or Smudgey, Captain Smudgins, Smudgey Bear, or Fudge(y) or Buddy or bud-ster, or Mister. He is a happy-go-lucky & fun little guy who is very attentive (he is always watching us and knows what we are up too- ha!). He will grow into a very loyal boy. He is always making us giggle too - he is just a sweet, fun, silly dude. A few siblings pictured here too that will soon be going to their new homes. As you can see, they are all getting bigger (they can peek over their door now.)

About October
October is a sweet girl! She is a female pup from Nala and Kobe’s first litter. My little girl fell in love with her from day 1 - “Momma, this is October!” We were never planning to add a 3rd to the pack, but here we are now and wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️. She fits right in and is still such a momma’s girl and plays with dad too. It’s been fun watching her grow. She is 8 months old now. One of my reasons for listing her here is transparency— she has completed the same AKC DNA 328 trait marker testing that both Nala and Kobe did. (A true documented sibling - only a carrier, but not affected so overall improved genetics which was one of my goals.)

About Nala
Nala is a sweet girl and very attentive. She loves to be snuggled & play with the kids, Kobe, and Goldie, our cat. Nala’s motherly instincts kicked in when we got Goldie as a kitten this past summer and she has been her protector ever since. Nala is liver/white and if the sun hits her eye brows just right, you can see a hint of caramel in them. (Nala’s mom is a beautiful tri, so she carries the gene for it) Photos: Nala is wearing the purple collar or the smaller one of the two in the pictures with the red collars. Kobe is wearing blue collar or the bigger of the two in the red collars.
