I'm Stacey H., the breeder behind Minnie's UpNorth Doodles located in Mesick, MI. We are a Premium in-home breeder of Mini Bernedoodles on five acres of beautiful northern Michigan countryside. Our puppies come from generations of health tested parents, raised with thorough curriculum exposure, socialization, and handling to produce ideal family companions or therapy dogs.
Q. & A. with Stacey
Why did you start breeding?
As a little girl I always dreamed of raising Golden Retrievers. As an adult with young children and allergy concerns, I fell in love with the Bernedoodle Breed. We became guardians for a breeder for several years and learned so much. I, Stacey, have taken courses, read many books, and learned so much from other breeders and veterinarians along the way.
What makes your program special?
I am a full-service breeder, raising puppies to adapt to any family or therapy setting. From health testing, to veterinary care, to the environment in which we raise our pups, everything we do is with their future families in mind. Our puppies grow up in our home, exposed to the sounds and sights of family life, various surfaces, objects, and obstacles, interacting with various ages and genders.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-color, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Holding the puppies is so key to their development right now. Making sure they feel safe and secure with human touch and smell, even before they can see or hear.

Stacey was so easy to work with. She answered all my questions quickly. You can tell that the puppies were so well cared for and raised in a loving environment. Our new family member “Gus” was a surprise birthday gift for my husband and Stacey went the extra mile to make sure the surprise happened.

+4
Adding to our family at this time was not something on our radar. However, after reaching out to Stacey and having all stars align, we couldn’t pass up our perfect pup Kintsugi! Stacey was amazing and it was immediately evident how compassionate and loving her and her family is in handling and caring for all of Minnie’s pups! Also being able to visit the pups before solidifying our decision, created an opportunity for us to see, first hand, the environment they’d be raised in. They even have the best puppy condo full with toys and obstacles!

It was apparent from the first moment we met that Stacey that she cared a lot about her pups. It was a family project to love on those puppies!! She spent as much time as we needed and didn’t make us feel rushed. She was helpful with our questions and very knowledgeable. She always responded quickly when we messaged her. Great experience!! Highly recommend seeking her out!!
