I'm Debra Jo H., the breeder behind Miss Red's Corgi Farm located in Trout, LA. We love the Corgi breed for their intelligence, affectionate nature, energy, and child-like playfulness. And who can resist that smile! We are passionate breeders and are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding practices. We do all that we can to make sure our pups get the best care and go to the best homes! We are not a big operation, but we are an operation with high integrity. We have one dam and one sire who are deeply loved pets and well cared for!
Q. & A. with Debra Jo
Why did you start breeding?
We recently moved to my childhood home where we had ample space for a Corgi Farm!
What makes your program special?
We care about our dogs overall health and well-being. We are very intentional about what we provide at different levels of puppy development to bring about the best outcomes for a high quality family pet. These dogs know that they are loved and that there are boundaries. We stimulate their developing minds to help them be problem-solvers and social with both people and other animals.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Captain 'Cap' Castiel, dad
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Captain 'Cap' Castiel
Cap has incredibly symmetrical markings, white “socks”, and no white behind withers. He has striking hazel eyes that are constantly alert. His red coat is a soft red because he carries the dilution gene or “bluie” gene. He has a broad chest, straight back, docked tail, and an overall, athletic body build. He is an athlete and loves to challenge himself physically. Cap is a healthy boy with good genes as proven through Embark DNA health testing. He is affectionate, agile, good with children, and loves to be the leader of his pack. He rides well in the car and does well on a leash. He enjoys visiting the nursing home and letting people pet him. We love our Cap!
Excellent health testing via Embark DNA tests.
Bella, mom
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Bella
Bella is a little lady. She is petite and prissy with her fluffy tail held high. At the same time, she is frisky, loves to play, and runs fast right along with Cap. She is an excellent mama, She is very affectionate and loyal. She likes to stand on her hind legs and dance. She is good with children as long as she does not have young pups. She is protective of her babies. She will go with me and mind me, but she loves my husband best and makes it known as she sticks to his side when we go walking.

DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
