I'm Darren B., the breeder behind Misty Valley Golden Retrievers located in Ringgold, GA. We strive to breed beautiful, healthy English Golden‘s with excellent demeanors. We live on the farm where our dogs get to run freely through the field and down to the creek where we take walks daily. We go on many adventures to the lake and the mountains and our dogs love every bit of it!
Q. & A. with Darren
Why did you start breeding?
My sister discovered English golden retrievers over a decade ago, and our whole family fell in love with their excellent temperaments and beautiful looks. Growing up I’ve had many different animals from flying squirrels, skunks, birds, dogs, cats, donkeys, cattle, and goats. In my teenage years, I worked for a local veterinarian.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs get to experience lots of adventures, as well as daily walks and running through the fields and woods. We genetically test our dogs for the best quality traits in golden retrievers.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
