I'm Erika A., the breeder behind Misty’s Mountain Goldens located in Syria, VA. We love this breed and do everything we can to help it thrive. We give each of our dogs and puppies the best care that we can. We are very passionate about dogs and responsible breeding practices. We hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have loved Goldens since my very first Golden many years ago. I love their kind and nurturing temperament along with their beauty. To me they are the best of everything.
  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is based on Champion sired, health tested puppies that are healthy, happy, well socialized and well conformed. We raise them in our homes as members of our family.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Erika has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Includes vaccines, worming, registration and microchipping. We only accept deposits once puppies have arrived and healthy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
