Joan and Malik, are everything we could want in a breeder. As I was searching and stumbled upon one of her pups and messaged her. She walked me through the entire process to make sure I understood before moving forward, she wasn't trying to rush this process, she was considerate and helpful. As we moved forward in getting our tri-colored corgi, Lulu, her and her husband stayed with my family and I for hours explaining everything to us and make sure we had everything we needed to make sure Lulu had the best care. You can tell they really know their stuff and wanted to make sure we had all the information we needed as we take our girl home. So friendly and incredibly nice that makes it feel like you've know them forever! Joan and Malik make it apparent that you can always reach out to them when you need something or have a question, it feels nice when you have that support after this process! I still send them pictures every now and then and ask questions when I need to, so don't hesitate they are the right people! Joan and Malik made it possible for my family to have the dog we always wanted. Lulu is the light of our life and my best friend and it's all thanks to MJ's Corgis!

Joan is very knowledgeable about corgis! As a first time pet owner, I had a lot of questions and concerns, but Joan was always patient and addressed all my questions. She also provided me with a lot of useful information and tips that helped ease my nerves and made me feel well prepared to bring my puppy home. Joan also genuinely cares for the puppies. Even weeks after I brought my puppy, Hacker, home, she continued to follow up with me to ensure everything was okay.
Now Hacker has been home for almost a month. She is super cute and friendly with everyone she meets. All my friends love her! She is also doing great with potty and crate training.
If you are looking for a healthy, cute puppy from a responsible breeder, I would highly recommend Joan!

Joan is very knowledgeable about and cares deeply for her pups. As a first time dog owner, I appreciated that she helped me bathe him before bringing him home and told me all the supplements and food she uses so I could get the same for him. My boy is now a very friendly and well behaved 5.5 month old puppy.

Joan was very helpful answering all the questions I had no matter what time it was. Made sure we had toys and collar and leash to bring him home with. And followed up to see how we were adjusting to our new puppy. She was a pleasure to work with.

Si Fu (AKA: Master in Vietnamese)
Review
I am thoroughly impressed with the exceptional level of care and dedication Joan demonstrated both before and after the adoption of my dog. Joan went above and beyond to ensure I would be a responsible owner by inviting me for an in-person visit to evaluate the compatibility of my home environment.
Joan provided thorough guidance on every aspect of puppy care, including detailed recommendations for food, shampoo, toys, treats, and a vaccination road map. Her expertise extended to practical demonstrations, such as how to properly bathe my puppy, clip their nails, and food for when they are sick, recommended trusted doctors/clinics for emergencies, and
offered invaluable advice on maintaining safe practices to prevent vulnerabilities such as parvo.
What truly distinguishes Joan is her ongoing support and follow-up after the adoption. Her unwavering commitment to ensuring my puppy’s well-being and successful transition into his new home is evident. Joan's dedication transcends the financial aspect; she genuinely cares about her dogs and is prepared to take back the puppy if necessary, demonstrating her accountability and responsibility as a breeder.
I highly recommend Joan for her outstanding care and support. Her dedication and genuine concern for her dogs are truly commendable.
Communication and Support:
I greatly appreciate the level of communication and support I have received from Joan. She is exceptionally responsive and detailed in her texts, and she is always willing to discuss any guidance or concerns over the phone, even long after the initial adoption. This ongoing support provides peace of mind, knowing that I can reach out to her anytime for help with Si Fu.
Joan's transparency about past issues and her experience with potential challenges reflect her trustworthiness and competence as a breeder. Her honest and immediate responses to my questions have built a strong foundation of trust. This is crucial, as dealing with a breeder who
withholds information can lead to unexpected issues down the line.
Positive Changes Observed in Si Fu’s Behavior and Health
Since adopting Si Fu, who is now just over a year old, I have observed several positive changes in both his behavior and health. Si Fu has consistently maintained excellent health with no issues to date. He has no allergies to a wide range of foods, including watermelon, apple, peanut butter, blueberries, chicken, beef, banana, cucumber, Royal Canin Salmon, and Vital Treats (dried chicken). Additionally, he has not experienced any skin allergies, hip problems, or eye issues.
Behaviorally, Si Fu has far exceeded my expectations. I frequently bring him to work 2-4 times a month, where he remains well-behaved in his crate for 2-3 hours at a time without exhibiting whining, separation anxiety, fussiness, barking, or scratching. Si Fu interacts positively with all staff members in the office, greeting them warmly and accepting affection.
While Si Fu did nip a co-worker on the heel when she bent over, it is worth noting that corgis are herding dogs, which may explain this behavior. Overall, Si Fu is confident, comfortable around strangers, and unaffected by events such as fireworks. He enjoys car rides and does not suffer
from car sickness. Si Fu has a relaxed temperament with bursts of energy; he happily "sploots" and becomes playful when he prefers not to walk. He typically engages in three 15-minute walks a day, two 15-minute play sessions of fetch, and a 5-minute trick training session, which aligns with his preferred exercise routine.
Si Fu’s intelligence is evident in his ability to master various tricks, including spin, military crawl, timeout, speak, back up, bring, leave it, look at me, stay, and roll over, all before reaching his first birthday. His impressive temperament and skillset reflect Joan’s meticulous care in breeding
corgis, including enrichment program, careful screening, new bloodline selection, and exposure to diverse stimuli and socialization.
In summary, Si Fu’s exceptional health and behavior are a testament to the high quality of care and training/enrichment program he received early on by Joan.
Overall Experience:
If you are seeking a breeder who is caring, informative, accountable, understanding, and responsive, Joan is an excellent choice. She is notably flexible regarding qualifications for prospective pet owners. Joan does not impose stringent requirements such as home inspections, prior veterinary records, or volunteer experience at adoption facilities. Instead, she
engages in meaningful conversations to understand your readiness as a pet owner, treating you with respect and as an adult.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
