I'm Kara S., the breeder behind MK Haus DDR German Shepherds located in Pontiac, IL. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and ability. We strive to produce beautiful and versatile beloved companions. German Shepherds are an incredible breed, and we decided to start our breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities we found in our dogs. They excel both in their work and as companions. We are dedicated to improving our lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
Q. & A. with Kara
What makes your program special?
We are preservation breeders of DDR line German Shepherds. Structure, temperament, heath and strong nerves are areas we focus on. Stable and confident dogs that can function in today’s ever changing society is what we strive to produce. Gone are the mindless dogs snapping at the end of a leash. We want dogs that can be involved in sports but are stable enough to be involved in daily activities
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include plush and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
