I'm Mike K., the breeder behind Montrose Goldens located in Chicago, IL. We are a small hobby breeder of only quality English Type Creme Goldens. While we enjoy both the American and the English Type Golden Retrievers, We prefer the Sweet Personality, Light Colors and Dark Pigments of the English or UK Type.

Why did you start breeding?
We began researching our desired lines in 2002 and imported a fine example of the breed from Canada in 2004. In 2007 we produced our 1st litter of beautiful healthy English Goldens.What makes your program special?
We do not produce Quantity, but rather Quality.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis, Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
