Breeder of Belgian Tervuren

Meet the breeder

I'm Ashrae D., the breeder behind Moonlight Tervuren located in California. We are a passionate & dedicated breeding program that produces dogs with great working drives, health, conformation, & temperaments. Belgian Tervuren are an incredible breed, & we decided to start our breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities we found in our dogs. They excel both in their work & as companions. We are dedicated to improving our lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.

Q. & A. with Ashrae

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was raised by dog breeders, so new life has always sparked my interest. After years of breeder mentorship within other breeds, I fell in love with my first Tervuren, & after heavy research, I knew this was the breed I was meant to help preserve & protect. I’m happily under mentorship with a few of the best tervuren breeders in the USA & strive to produce sound quality dogs in the future!
  • What makes your program special?

We are conscientious in our breeding practices, and we breed for health, temperament, drive, and ability. We want our dogs to be biddable and able to succeed wherever they are needed, as well as to thrive in their homes with their families. Our goal is to produce well balanced performance dogs, medical alert/response service dogs, therapy dogs, & active family companions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are mahogany and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
