I'm T. Lynn A., the breeder behind MoonRiver Danes located in Arcadia, FL. We strive to breed Beautiful Danes to the Great Dane Standard, to health test all dogs that we own, and to provide loving, stable homes for our puppies. We do everything we can to better the breed. We love these dogs so much and know you will love them too.

Why did you start breeding?
I had pets, then show dogs then started to breed. My mentor has been in Great Danes for over 50 years.What makes your program special?
We breed quality dogs with good temperaments that exhibit true Great Dane breed type. We are breeding show dogs and do not breed just to sell to companion homes.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

"The price includes the guarantee, AKC Registration, Microchip, DNA test, Mask test, first round of vaccinations, worming, socialization, collar and leash, and complete puppy packet. All of our puppies are the same price."

Parent health testing
Excellent level
MoonRiver Danes reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Great Danes.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
