Meet the breeder

I'm Judy H., the breeder behind Moonstruck Staffords located in Edgewater, MD. I have been breeding Staffordshire Bull Terriers for over 40 years and my dogs are my passion. I take pride and use my year of experience in breeding the best Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies. I am a preservation breeder and I pay special attention to health and temperament. My Staffords are great all-around dogs and I have been successful in canine sports, in breed competition and are first and foremost part of the family and are loving companions.

Q. & A. with Judy

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 1978, I was very fortunate to be introduced to my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I was immediately impressed by the breed’s strength, courage, and tenacity, with affection for children that I have never experienced in another breed of dog. After seeing what amazing dogs they are I decided I needed one for myself! I have been active with the breed for 40 years now.
  • What makes your program special?

I love my dogs and their puppies, and treat them like members of my own family. I am active in dog sports, making sure my dogs are always enriched and happy! I also use the Puppy Culture program while raising my puppies to ensure that they can grow in to the best dogs they can be!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
