Meet the breeder

I'm Sydney G., the breeder behind Moro Shepherds located in Scio, OR. Moro is located on 5 acres outside of Salem, Oregon. We have had White Swiss Shepherds since 2005. We have always chosen dogs for our breeding program based on a triad of quality health, structure and character. In order to produce a suitable puppy, parents must be strong in all three areas.

Q. & A. with Sydney

  • Why did you start breeding?

It appears to be in my blood, being a 4th generation dog fancier.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is many generations long, having always extensively health tested and titled our breedstock. With our program, we know exactly what we produce, and how to match dog to families that are a good match. We have an amazing health guarantee and produce gorgeous, sound stock suitable for work, show, and companionship.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sydney

Sydney has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Sydney partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“We take great care to match the temperament and structure of a puppy to the family that it will be matched with. We take information from our applications to determine experience of the owner and their plans for the pup, and match a puppy based on structure, character, drives, energy levels, etc to the family dynamic.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Individual puppy pricing is based upon a written evaluation by a third party judge. The higher quality the pup the higher the price. All breed to show quality pups are sold with breeding rights. Deposits are $1000, and go toward the purchase price of your puppy. Deposits are non-refundable unless Moro is unable to provide you with a suitable puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Sydney may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Sydney offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Sydney directly.
