Mountain Joy Goldens

Bev J.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Bev J., the breeder behind Mountain Joy Goldens located in Nathrop, CO. My Goldens bring joy to my family and I desire to bring joy to others with a healthy and well-socialized Golden puppy. I encourage visits when it is safe and use aspects of Puppy Culture for training and socialization to give each puppy the best possible start in life.

Q. & A. with Bev

  • Why did you start breeding?

After my first Golden as an adult, I fell in love with this breed. When our second Golden passed on, my husband and I tried to adopt a Golden through a Front Range rescue organization. However, because of our location approximately 100 miles from the Front Range, we were immediately rejected. That is when I decided to start breeding, so I could offer healthy Goldens as family pets to others.
  • What makes your program special?

Because I currently have just one to two litters a year, I can provide personalized service to my buyers. I enjoy communication with each individual and family and sharing puppy pics and "Pupdates". I encourage puppy visits when it is safe and am always available for questions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
