I'm Natalie D., the breeder behind Mountain Raised Retrievers located in Lander, WY. I am a small in-home Golden Retriever breeder. Our Golden girl is fully health tested, titled, dual registered, and raised in our home. My goal is to continue to conserve the working Golden Retriever breed and strive for longevity, health, training, titling and living a happy life!
Q. & A. with Natalie
Why did you start breeding?
When I met my husbands Golden in high school, I fell in love with Goldens. We knew, one day, we would want to have our very own. After doing some research, I wanted to raise and train my own working Golden Retriever. We found out we were moving to Wyoming in 2021 so I knew that would be the best opportunity to begin this journey. Shelby exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier.
What makes your program special?
Our Goldens are a big part of our family, and currently, amateur trained by me. I take to heart the importance of longevity, health, temperament, trainability, and resilience. I fully health test our Goldens, following GRCA code of ethics, and obtain titles in different venues to show their incredible versatility.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
