I'm Toni T., the breeder behind Mountain Top Shepherd's located in Orrtanna, PA. All of our puppies are bred, raised, and loved indoors to produce happy, healthy pets for those seeking the best family companion! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mom was already a breeder she wanted to do get into a new breed and fell in love with the mini aussies and kinda just took off from there.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are small we don't do it to just make a money we do it because I love the experience I get to share with them to feel the babies inside moving around in the mommas belly to be right there with them to support them having their babies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Toni

Toni has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Toni partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit. The remaining $500 - $2,500 is due at pickup, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Toni may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Toni offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Toni directly.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I had a great experience with Toni. I was hesitant about using an app to find a puppy, but from day 1 of my inquiry Toni was responsive and we actually spoke on the phone that same day. She was knowledgeable about the breed and several things she said made it clear that she genuinely cares about the parents, their puppies, and who they are going home with.
