I'm Megan J., the breeder behind MT Ridge Aussies located in Whitefish, MT. Our dogs are bred to be companions and family dogs. I firmly believe humans and dogs are meant to be together.
We potty train, crate train and start basic commands before placing in their forever home to make the transition as easy as possible.
Q. & A. with Megan
Why did you start breeding?
I have had mentors along the way as I have always wanted to breed dogs, but wanted to make sure I was fully ready before diving in. I have loved dogs from the moment I can remember and even as a little girl would be exploring around in the woods of MT with a dog by my side.
What makes your program special?
My main goal is that the mom is taken care of first which allows for a healthy litter so that the puppies will strive and have a good head start to life. I see dogs as part of a family and not just an animal to purchase. I take time to match the right family with the right dog. Usually, the right dog organically chooses the perfect family for him/ her.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black tri and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
