Meet the breeder

I'm Laura W., the breeder behind My Way Golden Retrievers located in Guilford, CT. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and breed standards. We provide life long support and will take back a puppy or dog at anytime, no questions asked.

Q. & A. with Laura

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was that neighborhood kid who needed love, guidance, and acceptance. My neighbor showed and breed goldens. She took me under her wings. Opened my world up to other breeders who many became my mentors. One offered me a lovely female on a co-own. We grew her out together while counting to learn about pedigrees, breed standards, whelping, and raising litters.
  • What makes your program special?

I think the relationships I build not just with other breeders but with each one of my puppy families. Being truthful about my program, following our parent club's code of ethics. Having well balanced, healthy with all clearances set in place including genetic testing with longevity in my lines. Communication is key with other breeders and my puppy families with a strong network.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
