I'm Saltanat K., the breeder behind Naiman Chow Chows (San Diego, CA) located in San Diego, CA. We are very passionate about responsible breeding practices. We breed only AKC pedigree chow chows and prefer to go with champion bloodlines. It is a must for us to health test our dogs for OFA hips, elbows, patella, eyes, cardio to ensure that we breed only healthy dogs to better our lines.
Q. & A. with Saltanat
Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding Chow Chows began with a profound love and admiration for this majestic breed. As I became more involved in the Chow Chow community, attending shows, and interacting with breed enthusiasts, my passion for these dogs deepened.
I started learning from experienced breeders, studying pedigrees, and immersing myself in the intricacies of breed genetics and health.
What makes your program special?
We are proud to utilize the Puppy Culture breeding program, which emphasizes early neurological stimulation and socialization to give our puppies the best possible start in life. From the moment they are born, our puppies are exposed to a rich and stimulating environment that promotes confident, well-adjusted dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
