I'm Natalie D., the breeder behind Natalie’s Havanese located in Brisbane, CA. My dogs are part of my family. They live in my house and are healthy and happy. Moms are AKC registered, and dad is ACÁ registered. Moms were easily trainable, and love to do tricks. Dad’s whole mission in life is to give and receive love. He’s not food motivated because he’d rather have praise!
Q. & A. with Natalie
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up in Oklahoma, my folks raised labradores. Raising dogs and puppies was always a part of my life. As an adult, I’ve owned and trained a Weimaraner and a havapoo. After moving into a house, I realized that the yard was big enough for dogs to run and play, and decided to start my own breeding program. I knew a havanese and loved its temperament of being loyal, lovey, and playful.
What makes your program special?
I got my pups in Texas and checked their heritage to help with genetic diversity for the Havanese breed. My dogs and I live in a small town with lots of other dog owners, so they are well socialized. They have been vet checked for their health and make beautiful puppies. My dogs are well trained and loved.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, chocolate, fawn brindle, and chocolate brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
