I'm Sharon, the breeder behind Naturally Reared English Springer Spaniels located in Kimball, MN.
Q. & A. with Sharon
Why did you start breeding?
I am following in the footsteps of my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother, who at various times raised Doberman Pinschers, Poodles, and Shetland Sheepdogs for the betterment of the breed and the show ring. Growing up, our two Shetland Sheepdogs were my best friends. I loved helping out with grooming and was thrilled with every opportunity I had to attend a show. Having a litter of puppies over summer vacation was a wonderful part of growing up and is a joy to have our children experience as well.
What makes your program special?
Our focus on health and natural rearing makes our program special. The epidemic of sick, diseased dogs these days breaks my heart. Having done countless hours of research, I have concluded that avoiding chemicals and toxins as well as feeding a biologically appropriate diet is paramount to having a dog with bright eyes, well structured bones, a shiny coat, sweet disposition, and a long happy life.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are liver white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
