I'm Monica Z., the breeder behind New Canyon Havanese & Coton Puppies located in Provo, UT. Our dogs live with us, are whelped in our home and socialized within our home. They get exposed to different people and environments to ensure the transition to your home is as smooth as possible.

Why did you start breeding?
My daughter got a Coton De Tulear as an ESA dog and I fell in love, getting one for me too! I bred her dog (Sophie) with my dog (Hagrid) dad, and had my friend Shelley (Hagrid's breeder) mentored me and I loved the process.What makes your program special?
Our Dogs are loved and live in our home at every step of the way. they are well-socialized and cared for at every stage, so when they come home to you, it is a smooth transition! We don't let them leave home until 10 weeks oldWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Coton de Tulear puppies include tri-color, black and white, and white. Havanese puppies include black and tan brindle and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Monica
Monica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Monica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
“The Price includes microchipping, vaccinations (7 and 10 week), deworming and vet checks for health. also included is a collar, harness, bed, toy, sample canned food and kibbles, food bowls and a bed. A deposit of $400 is required and is refundable when a different buyer is found. THere is a reservation contract that is signed as well giving you a place in the waitlist (if there is one).”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Primary Hyperoxaluria
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
