I'm Lisa T., the breeder behind New Horizon Brittanys located in Thompson, CT. I am passionate about breeding dogs for both form & function. I feel responsible for preserving the living history dog breeds are. Our dogs live in our home as members of our family.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
I always wanted to do more with my dogs so in 2008 I got the chance with a new puppy (who was not show quality and I knew it) and quickly followed up with my foundation bitch who was amazing. Breeding was a natural extension of the passion I have always had for the breed.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs, and those with our pups, are family. It's not easy to find the right fit for each individual puppy and not every family is suited for every puppy we produce. Most of our pups go to hunting homes, but we're here for anyone who wants to explore more of what this breed can do. Producing happy and healthy Brittanys is our passion.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
