I'm Jean P., the breeder behind New River Gorgeous Puppies located in Oak Hill, WV. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We work hard to breed exemplary dogs that are well taken care of from day one and are prepared to excel in loving and caring homes. We love our dogs and puppies, They are raised in our home.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    A love for dogs and overall enjoyment of raising good natured pets for other dog lovers! Puppies are a lot of work, but oh so fun!!

  • What makes your program special?

    If you purchase one of our puppies, you will get weekly updates and pictures. We welcome visits and questions. A lot of interaction-they grow up in our sun room right along side us. Our grandkids help out and come play with our puppies. We strive to keep them healthy. We work at pre-pottery training and keeping them clean. As they get older we spend time outside, weather permitting.

“All of my puppies are the same price. Includes litter registration with ASDR. Once a puppy is secured weekly updates and pictures are sent out. Also come with full breeding rights, worming, first shots, and vet health check. Puppies will go home with a puppy kit including blanket, toys, small amount of our dog food to get you started.”

    Jean is a genuinely incredible breeder. She kept me up to date on my puppy’s progress throughout the process. Seeing her interact with the puppies makes it incredibly clear that these dogs are very much loved and extremely well taken care of. When I brought my puppy home, I was expecting the standard difficulties that come with having a puppy. So far, I’ve been shocked by how little of that there’s been. At eight weeks, Wombat arrived with a shockingly effective level of pre-training. There has been zero crying, she very rarely has accidents, and there’s been very little separation anxiety. Her physical health is great, she’s absolutely gorgeous, and her tail nub is wagging pretty much any time she’s awake. I can’t recommend Jean highly enough. Everything about the experience, and the new puppy, has been wonderful.

    I picked up my puppy from the breeder Jean today, and it has been such an amazing experience working with her. She is such a kind soul and so loving — not just with people and puppies, but also with what she does as a breeder. You can truly tell how much she cares about finding her puppies loving homes. I feel extremely blessed to have found Koda and to have worked with such an amazing and trustworthy breeder. Jean stays on top of everything, provides photos and updates, is very responsive, helps with any concerns, and truly makes you feel like taking care of a puppy isn’t impossible. She makes the experience feel so special — like you’re not just bringing a puppy home, but building a family. Even though it’s only my first day with Koda, I already saw the joy on his face when he saw me. He followed me around my house all day, and we’re already building such a strong bond. For that, I’m beyond grateful to Jean.
