Meet the breeder

I'm Christina M., the breeder behind Nina's Golden hour located in Holly, MI. I am passionate about raising well-rounded pups who will excel in any venue with their new families. I breed for intellect, health, behavior, conformation, and temperament. My goal is to produce superior representations of the breed. I love being a breeder and take pride in my program and my pups.

Q. & A. with Christina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a Retriever-loving home. My 1st childhood dog was a Great Dane/golden retriever mix and our 2nd dog was a Labrador Retriever. When I got a bit older(in my teenage years) I grew to love everything about Goldens, purchasing my very 1st purebred Golden Retriever when I was 17years old.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are not just our dogs they are our family. From the moment they are born, they're Im the center of our world(in the living room). Our puppies are watched, interacted with, loved on, & worked with 24-7 by not only me, but my entire family(even our toddlers love our puppy play time). I believe the affection, training &socializing techniques we provide, makes it much easier for our buyers.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
