I'm Salvador M., the breeder behind Nomadic Reds Golden Retrievers located in Ozark, AL. We offer gorgeous dark red Golden Retrievers! We do genetic, OFA testing. Our OFA testing includes hips/elbows/ heart and eyes. Championship lineage with the loving house pet all in one. Limited Registration only.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We immediately fell in love with Goldens. Everything about them has driven it to become a passion. It has also made it financially possible for my wife to stay home and homeschool our 4 children. Giving our kids the best childhood we can and involving them in the whole process has been a blessing. They get to experience the process with us and experience one of the beauties of life

  • What makes your program special?

    We test for any known diseases through DNA testing for both mom and dad to ensure puppy genetic health. Any dog we breed with will also be tested for OFA Hips, elbows, heart and eyes and must pass all. Puppy health and longevity is super important to us. Knowing that a puppy comes from a healthy background gives us and new owners peace of mind as they join their new family for a long life

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Salvador

Salvador has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Salvador partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes AKC (Limited) registration, vaccinations, deworming, vet check and microchip. Limited registration only. We generally sell out before puppies are born. The deposit gets you on the general waitlist and as litters/puppies come up we will contact everyone on our list before offering them to the public.”

Contract & health guarantee

Salvador may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    From the beginning, Salvador was incredibly helpful and made what could have been a stressful transition feel smooth and easy. That support made a huge difference those first few days. It didn’t take long to realize we got a good one. She’s extremely smart and already picking things up way faster than I expected which has been fun to watch. She’s also become my shadow; if I stand up, she’s up. If I move rooms, she’s right there. Personal space is officially gone. One of the best parts so far has been how quickly she bonded with my sister’s puppy. The two of them are completely inseparable and play nonstop. It’s basically controlled chaos… emphasis on the chaos. Her personality is exactly what I was hoping for. She loves chasing leaves (or anything that blows in the wind, really), carries sticks around like they’re trophies, is all in on tug of war, and spends her time sniffing every inch of the city like she’s on a recon mission. She also seems to believe every single person she sees is her new best friend, which has made walks take at least twice as long. It really feels like the breeder nailed the match. She fits exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all turned out!

    Our little girl is 14 weeks old now, and from the first inquiry message on Good Dog, Salvador was quick to respond and answer any questions we have! He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the breed. We really appreciated that he took the time to chat with us about what we were looking for in a dog, and match us to the dog he thought would be the best fit for us! We wanted a dog that we could train to hunt with us, but still would be a good family dog too. Sal tested for bird drive amongst other traits and so far she is doing great with the training we’ve done. Pickup went smoothly, Sal provided us with a go-home bag with wood chips for potty training, her AKC and vet paperwork, littermate scented blanket, food, bully stick, and more to help us transition her into our home.     I had the best experience with Salvador and Nomadic Reds. From the first inquiry i had to all the follow up questions Salvador was prompt and responsive. Salvador and his family are amazing. Since we were flying in to pick up our girl, they met us in a easy location. Salvador's Made sure to follow up and check in after we took our girl Cora home. He very thoughtful on how she was settling in, how she was adapting, and gave great advice on training. We absolutely plan on getting another Golden from Salvador when the next litter comes in the summer. I can not say enough about the quality of Breeding. I get compliments all the time from our professional trainer, sport dog enthusiasts alike. They all compliment us on her build, her coat, and how trainable and quickly she learns. Good Dog made the transaction smooth, safe and easy.
