I'm Leslie L., the breeder behind North Carolina Papillions located in Vass, NC. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! We’re passionate about raising the best family companions possible. We’re so excited to start sharing the joy and excitement of life with one of our pups!

Why did you start breeding?
Owned 2 males.Wanted to have both parents and thier offsprings, I did that.So enjoy the puppies and raising decided to go on and start breeding.What makes your program special?
I have 6 of my own and the pups as a part of my household my family. My dogs help with socializing,playing and discipline.They are raised in an extension of my own bedroom the Baby room. Quiet and stressless.Then they experience outside on covered patio.They will be exposed to home life noise harness leash and simple commands. Litterbox trained.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Pups are from both AKC registered parents.Owner responsible for pups registration if so desired. One series of required vaccine. Baby blanket, toy ,kibble and all my tricks for successful transition.I feel its best for owners to have own vet do health exams.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
