Q. & A. with Shena

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding began with a deep love for Great Danes and a desire to share their incredible companionship with others. What started as a passion quickly became a purpose—to raise healthy, well-tempered Danes who thrive as family members.
  • What makes your program special?

We are passionate about the genetics and development of Great Danes, constantly expanding our knowledge of the breed. Each puppy begins Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) at just 3 days old, followed by noise desensitization starting at 2 weeks, helping to lay the foundation for confident, well-adjusted companions.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Shena was amazing to work with and she was very happy to answer any question I had and was very quick to respond. She kept me updated throughout the process and shared photos/videos daily. I was very excited to meet her and my new baby. I highly recommend Shena, and I will definitely keep in touch with her for future Great Danes. There is no doubt that she takes wonderful care of the puppy family, and it’s very obvious she does a great job with them. ❤️

North Cedar Danes was absolutely amazing to work with. They were super responsive and kind, answered all of our questions, and overall were an absolute delight to work with. They are responsible breeders, take fantastic care of the fur babies, they took care of microchipping, made sure they had first shots, had a vet visit done, and handled AKC registration! They send the fur babies home with helpful pamphlets and instructions. I would hands down recommend them over and over!

Shena is the best breeder ever! We are absolutely in love with our puppy and could not be happier. I've had many dogs throughout my life, and this is by far the best puppy I've ever brought home. She has the sweetest, most lovable temperament, is incredibly well-mannered, and practically came potty trained! Shena clearly puts so much love, care, and dedication into her puppies, and it truly shows. There are so many wonderful things I could say about our experience that I would be typing all day. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized, and amazing puppy!

Shena was easy to work with and was able to connect us with a wonderful transporter who was able to deliver our puppy to help pull off an exciting Christmas surprise for our kids. The puppy is beautiful and adjusting to his new family with ease. He’s everything we dreamed of.

Shena was great to work with and was very communicative regarding our puppy. She sent pics of our sweet guy every week until we were able to welcome him home. He is the sweetest pup! The transport went very well too and Shena sent all of the info we needed to help us along during the first few weeks. We are so happy to have Beau in our lives!
