I'm Jessica S., the breeder behind North Star Goldens located in Sandy, UT. Everyone's life would be better if they had a Golden. I love this breed so much. I am a dog breeder that is passionate about bettering the breed and raising quality puppies for my puppy families to enjoy. I do all I can to provide happy, healthy, well-rounded pups!

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with animals as a child and bonded with our Golden Retriever “Sierra”. I always wanted one as an adult and just fell in love with the idea of doing breeding right!What makes your program special?
I really focus on temperament and matching the right puppy with the right family. I do personality tests on all my puppies to make sure we’re matching them correctly.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessica partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“I always go down my waitlist in order of when you placed your deposit. I also keep in mind your lifestyle what you’re looking for in terms of temperament and really help guide you to the right Puppy of course it’s ultimately your decision but I will always help and make sure it’s the best fit for Family and Puppy.”

“Pricing is based on coat quality, structure and training. $500 non refundable deposit to hold your puppy. Comes out of the total cost of your puppy.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Animal Genetics Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
