I'm Dawn B., the breeder behind Northern Colorado Yorkies located in Wellington, CO. Because my program is small, I am able to give each dog and puppy all of the attention and care that they need to develop and thrive. My dogs are my family, and I give that same love to each puppy as I prepare them to join their forever homes. I always do my best to find the perfect match for my puppies and buyers because I want each placement to be lifelong and for each pup to thrive in their role. It is my goal to find loving homes for my puppies and provide families and individuals with the Yorkie or Morkie of their dreams!
Q. & A. with Dawn
Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first male AKC Yorkshire Terrier and fell in love. I decided to stud him out and then of course I wanted my own litter. Breeding Terriers came naturally to me, and I loved the whole process. I take pride in my dogs and love the excitement that new families get when they get their new puppy!
What makes your program special?
My dogs are raised as family dogs. All of my momma's let me handle the babies from the minute they are born. I handle them daily and work with them multiple times a day till they find forever homes. I take pride in the socialization and love that I put into each puppy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies are black and tan. Morkie puppies are white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
