I'm Connie a., the breeder behind Northern Lights Labradoodles located in Wasilla, AK. We are a small family-run breeder dedicated to raising F1 & F1b Labradoodles. We have become a trusted source for healthy well socialized puppies. Our philosophy is to produce dogs that embody the best qualities of the breed, both in temperament & in health.
Q. & A. with Connie
Why did you start breeding?
I love the doodle in a dog while my husband loves the lab, we then decided a labradoodle was the best fit for us. Since then we have raised Kimber in our home and she learned extremely fast. We did some searching as she grew into labradoodle breeders in our area that offered F1's. We learned that there wasn't much out there with this breed. Since we already had a F1 we decided to begin this journey.
What makes your program special?
I spend the first 2 weeks of their life by their side. I use a social program that introduces them to the proper handing & scents as soon as they are day 1. They are cared for with the proper needs of warmth, dryness and always close to their mom. Each week I introduce a new concept & by the time they are at 8 wks. they have been introduced to the 7 steps social program, agility and potty training
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include merle, chocolate, cafe, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Kimber, mom
Labradoodle
About Kimber
Kimber is a joy to our family. She's the most loyal, caring and affectionate dog. She's nearly 4 yrs old and only has one litter left before we retire her. She's not a fan of playing in water but isn't afraid of rivers and low levels. Her favorite is catching snow from the snowblower and can catch and retrieve all day if we had the time. She has a 70 word vocabulary and is always seeking a conversation. She's the best companion in car rides, loves her treats and dog parks and always seeking a playmate.
Toby, mom

Toby is a female Labradoodle. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Connie decided to make her part of their program. Connie has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
