Meet the breeder

I'm Anne C., the breeder behind Northern Staar Kennel located in Northglenn, CO. I have worked with Siberian Huskies for over a decade, training them for obedience, agility, conformation, and mushing. I raise my puppies with Puppy Culture to ensure they are well socialized, thinking, communicating puppies. My dogs are part of my family.

Q. & A. with Anne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first show dog from a fantastic kennel with a long history of producing amazing show and sled dogs. I owner handled that dog to her Bronze Grand Championship. When she was old enough and had passed all her health testing, I bred my first litter, and there was no going back.
  • What makes your program special?

When I started breeding, I focused on communication and training in a way that most breeders I spoke with hadn't, and the result was an amazing puppy who constantly exceeded my expectations. I continue to evolve my puppy raising to produce Siberians who learn appropriate ways to communicate with their owners and who are receptive to learning.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
