I'm Kelsey B., the breeder behind Northridge Pekingese located in Grass Valley, CA. We are a family-centered Pekingese breeding program devoted to raising healthy, loving, well-socialized puppies. Why did you start breeding?
My love for Pekingese started with our own dogs their loyalty, personality, and affection completely won me over and inspired me to share this incredible breed with other families.What makes your program special?
Family is at the heart of how we raise our Pekingese. Our puppies grow up alongside our four boys, surrounded by everyday play, affection, and plenty of cuddles. We value the loyal companionship this breed is known for and focus on raising confident, loving dogs who are comfortable with children and ready to become cherished members of their future families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan, cream, and fawn sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Tuff is our playful, curious boy who loves exploring everything around him. He approaches life with confidence and a sense of adventure, always ready to investigate something new or turn just about anything into a game. He’s energetic and fun-loving, with a sweet, social personality that makes him a joy to have around. Tuff is also wonderful with children and enjoys being part of the action with the whole family. His curious nature keeps him engaged with his people and surroundings, and when he isn’t exploring, he’s usually looking for someone to play with.

Farrah is our cuddle queen—sweet, loving, and happiest when she’s close to her people. She has always been a wonderful listener and was incredibly easy to train, picking up routines and expectations quickly. Farrah is affectionate and gentle, but she also has a naturally protective side when it comes to her family. She is deeply devoted, attentive, and loving, making her the perfect combination of snuggle buddy and loyal companion.

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
