I'm Andrea H., the breeder behind Not So Dainty Danes located in Shawano, WI. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy!
Q. & A. with Andrea
Why did you start breeding?
Mike had 20+yrs of breeding experience. I learned as much about breed specific temperaments, DNA/genetics, breeding know-how, as I could determined to never stop learning. With blood, sweat & tears, we still feel blessed to witness smiles on the faces &wagging tails when the pups finally meet their humans. Its what makes any difficulty we encounter worthwhile and truly fills my heart with joy!
What makes your program special?
Rather than an application, I have interview questions. It helps me to get a visual of your family's day-to-day life. I want nothing more than to match the puppy to the family that's the best fit for their personality to ensure I've done the best I can to place that pup in their FUREVER home. Keep in touch with our families & love seeing pics & videos of adventures as they grow with your family!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue and white, merlequin, blue brindle, brindle, fawn, blue, harlequin, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
