I'm Cleo P., the breeder behind Nuance Bull Terriers located in Livonia, MI. I am a preservation breeder focusing on smart, typy, healthy dogs of moderate size.
My goal is to produce exceptional, outgoing dogs that can compete in specialty shows and all breed and performance activities such as barn hunt and rally obedience.
Q. & A. with Cleo
Why did you start breeding?
I was fascinated by dog shows, and after I started showing, I wanted to breed my own dogs. I spent a summer in a prominent Bull Terrier kennel in England and observed many Bull Terrier specialty shows before selecting my foundation female and producing my own dogs.
What makes your program special?
While many serious Bull Terrier breeders focus exclusively on specialty shows judged by other breeders, it's also important to me to have dogs that are competitive under multi-breed judges. In addition, I am committed to keeping Bull Terriers of moderate size, as I feel the size of some dogs being shown today is far larger than what I would enjoy owning as a pet.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
